Learn more about designs of cold stores and refrigerated cabinets with the IOR’s Women in RACHP Network
The IOR’s Women in RACHP Network (WiRACHP) is hosting a training day on 24th June focusing on the fundamentals of design for cold stores and refrigerated cabinets. Held at Carter Thermal Industries in Birmingham to mark International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), the day will focus on the importance of design to achieve energy reduction, review international standards and explain why design decisions are taken.
This training session is open to anyone working in, or interested in, the refrigeration air conditioning and heat pump sector and the programme will be as follows:
- An overview of refrigerated cabinet technology and case manufacturing.
- Tour of Carter's facilities with a walking presentation of Net Zero, the Build Environment and Sustainability considerations.
- Tour of Carter's laboratory facilities. This will include an overview of the international standards of refrigerated cabinet testing criteria and a review of cases under test conditions.
- Lunch with networking opportunities.
- Introduction to the Institute of Refrigeration and WIRACHP Network.
Places are at £40 per person. To find out more about the day, and to book your place, see https://ior.org.uk/events/women-june-2024
