Barry Trewhitt to take over as President of HEVAC

Barry Trewhitt is set to become the new President of HEVAC and will take over from current President Alan Macklin in September.

John Barker, Chair of the HEVAC Humidity Control Group, will take over as HEVAC Vice President.

Barry was previously Vice-President of HEVAC since May 2023 and has been Chair of the FETA Fan Coil Group since June 2017.

As the representative voice of HVAC equipment suppliers, HEVAC promotes and defends the interests of its member companies, with a particular focus on energy efficiency, building safety and indoor air quality.

Barry has worked at Advanced Air (UK) Ltd for the past eight years, initially as a Senior Application Engineer and now as Product Development Manager.

Having been involved with ventilation for most of his career, Barry’s practical experience has allowed him to excel at product design and development, sound attenuation, fire, acoustic and laboratory testing.

Whilst at Advanced Air (UK) Limited, he has been instrumental in expanding the variable air volume and fan coil product ranges and has also led the development of a range of underfloor fan boxes.

Barry takes over the presidency from Alan Macklin of Alan Macklin Associates.
